Chester Pride creates impact by bringing people together, improving access to support and helping LGBTQ+ communities feel safer, more visible and more connected across Chester, Cheshire and North Wales.

How Chester Pride Creates Impact

Our impact is created through a combination of community-led activity, partnerships, volunteers, events and support programmes. We focus on practical, accessible work that helps people feel seen, supported and able to take part in community life.

Connection and Belonging

Our social groups and community activities help LGBTQ+ people meet others, build friendships and feel part of a supportive local community.

Youth and Family Support

Our youth and family activities create safer spaces for young people, parents, carers and families to access support and connection.

Wellbeing and Confidence

Workshops, speed friending, the community garden and support activities help people build confidence, reduce isolation and improve wellbeing.

Visibility and Celebration

Our Pride events create visible, joyful and inclusive spaces where LGBTQ+ people and allies can come together in Chester.

Community Feedback

Feedback from attendees helps us understand the value of our work and identify where support is most needed. We use community feedback to improve activities, shape future programmes and report progress to funders.
