Chester Pride creates impact by bringing people together, improving access to support and helping LGBTQ+ communities feel safer, more visible and more connected across Chester, Cheshire and North Wales.
Our impact is created through a combination of community-led activity, partnerships, volunteers, events and support programmes. We focus on practical, accessible work that helps people feel seen, supported and able to take part in community life.

Our social groups and community activities help LGBTQ+ people meet others, build friendships and feel part of a supportive local community.
Our youth and family activities create safer spaces for young people, parents, carers and families to access support and connection.
Workshops, speed friending, the community garden and support activities help people build confidence, reduce isolation and improve wellbeing.
Our Pride events create visible, joyful and inclusive spaces where LGBTQ+ people and allies can come together in Chester.
Feedback from attendees helps us understand the value of our work and identify where support is most needed. We use community feedback to improve activities, shape future programmes and report progress to funders.
Participant comments and community stories help show how Chester Pride activities support confidence, connection and belonging. These should be added to this page once approved for publication.
Many Chester Pride activities are made possible through funding, partnerships and community collaboration. Support from organisations including the National Lottery Community Fund and Cheshire West and Chester Council helps us deliver projects that respond to local need.
