Each year since 2018, Chester Pride offers a space at the table for anyone from the LGBTQ+, Chester and surrounding areas who may be spending the day along or simply can’t afford the cost of Christmas. This event has proven critical for members of our community who rely on the kindness of volunteers.
The event is run by a small team of volunteers who donate their time, to ensure others are not alone on Christmas day. This comes at a cost which needs covering to be able to help around 30+ people each year.
Guests are treated to
⭐️A hot and cold style buffet
⭐️A personalized Christmas card and small gift
⭐️Taxi transport to and from the event
⭐️Entertainment such as prize bingo, Quiz’s and crafting activities
We’re aiming to raise around £700 to cover our costs this year. As always, we are committed to ensuring no food goes to waste.
On Christmas Day, our team hand-delivers fresh food parcels directly to members of the homeless community on the streets of Chester. Any remaining food is donated directly to local homeless charities and the Chester Foodbank.
